According to legend, when the world was young, the goddess Issaura appeared among men. Those who treated her with kindness received the gift of the gods—the ability to transform into an animal form. This was a great honor but one that separated this race from other humans. Before Issaura departed the mortal realm, she promised to return if her people were ever at the point of destruction.
“Now a threat is rising from a land across the mists of the ocean, a threat that will push this race to the brink of extinction. Responding to the call to war, seventeen-year-old Lluava heads off to find her destiny, one that will carve her name in history.”

REVIEW:
Issaura's Claws was a very intriguing story, one that was hard to put down. The best thing about Issaura's Claws was the strong female lead, which is something I really enjoy reading in a YA book. She was very relatable, and she was a character that you like throughout the story (which is something I look forward to when reading).
I also thought that there were aspects of the story that were unique, and I really enjoyed reading this story. The plot was fantastic, the world building was great. I really liked that there was a strong focus on friendship and female strength in this book.
I would highly recommend this book, because it has everything that makes a book great! And it's great for readers out there who are a fan of fantasy! This book will definitely have you hooked as you read it.
